Albermarle!   This gracious estate was built in Princeton Township by Gerard B Lambert in 1913, a design of the well known architect Lindaberg with grounds landscaped by the firm of Frederick Law Olmstead.  The Lamberts lived there until 1947.  In 1947 the property was acquired, but never used, by Westminster Choir College. In 1950, at the invitation of the Choir College, and with the intention of eventually joining forces, the Columbus Boychoir moved into the building from its previous home in Ohio.  In 1952 the Boychoir School purchased the property from the College, plans to build a larger institution on the estate were abandoned.  Since then, the Lambert Drive area, once part of the estate, has grown into a pleasant residential neighborhood, while the centerpiece - the gracious mansion - has remained the home for the School's classes, rehearsal rooms and reception areas.   Now, to accommodate growth and to establish the Princeton Center for Arts and Education, the School is moving to new quarters at the St. Joseph's Seminary property in Plainsboro near the Forrestal Center.  Now the American Boychoir Property, including the elegant Albermarle mansion, is for sale.  Check out the listing, or better yet call Amy and go see for yourself.
